Over the past few months, we’ve been working diligently behind the scenes to build better experiences on and for the permaweb. Today, we are incredibly excited to announce that Verto is one step closer to this goal.
Introducing Verto Beta
Thanks to the tireless efforts of our development team, we are rolling out a completely revamped frontend for the Verto protocol. One of our main priorities is supporting Arweave’s widespread adoption, and to do so we recognize that optimizing user experience is key.
With Verto, the aim is to make everything as seamless and frictionless as possible for everyone. Our end goal is not just to have experienced crypto users on the platform but do drive mass adoption for every user type and skill set.
Custom asset pages
As the beating heart of the permaweb, we know that asset discoverability and education is extremely important. We know that a one-size-fits-all marketplace for digital assets is not practical for a scaling ecosystem, so we’re building a tool that will allow developers to design their own asset pages. Each protocol will be able to have custom-tailored user interface (UI) components in order to best reflect the needs of their individual communities.
Special thanks to Marton, who spent countless hours completely scrapping our old design to completely rethink how people will see the protocol!
This new UI uses a lot of new technology, so we want to be very intentional about the way this is distributed to the wider community for the time being.
We’ve opted to select 15 of the most active, value-additive contributors and community members in the Arweave ecosystem to receive a special NFT. Each NFT will grant a person three more invites to give to other Arweave community members.
In order to gain access to the new frontend, you will need to be invited by a community member with invites left to give. This will give us an opportunity to fine-tune the experience to best cater towards the wishes of the community.
If you don’t have an invite yet, don’t worry! You can always use the previous UI in the meantime.
To request an invite to the new UI, connect your ArConnect wallet on Verto.exchange and follow the steps on the modal that appears. The more Arweavers you interact with, the greater your chance of receiving an invite!
The Verto Community is actively growing, and we’d love for you to join us! The Verto Protocol codebase is completely open source, so feel free to make a pull request with any additions you see fit.
